＜What you will do＞
You can learn and practice sharpening the kitchen knife with whetstones. You can see and experience fitting handle to the blades as well. In this workshop, one knife per participant is included to take home. You can select one from below with the letters you want on the blade.


＜Knife Type＞
Santoku knife (Carbon)：
All purpose knife, 165mm to 175mm, Double edged

Santoku knife (Stainless)：
All purpose knife, 165mm to 175mm, Double edged

Sashimi knife (Carbon)：
For slicing Sashimi, 210mm, Single edged

Deba knife (Carbon)：
For filleting fishes, 150mm, Single edged

Petty knife (Carbon)：
Fruits knife, 130mm to 150mm, Double edged

Petty knife (Stainless)：
Fruits knife, 130mm to 150mm, Double edged

※Carbon steel is harder and sharper than Stainless Steel but it gets rust easily. You can sharpen it with whetstones or polish with sand papers to remove the rust.
※Stainless steel is easy to maintain but it gets dull and lasts little faster.


＜Engraving＞
You can engrave up to 7 letters in Japanese or English.
If you need a help to translate some English into Japanese, let us know.

・Meeting at　①Wada store or ②Magocoro Base Sakai
・Learn about Japanese knives at the Knife Museum　30 min
・Learn how to sharpen knives using whetstones　　 20 min
・Practice sharpening a knife by yourself　　　　　　30 min
・Experience fitting handles to the knife　　　　　　20 min
・Clean and wrap your knife and pack it in a box

＜Caution＞

・Participants must be older than 11 years old
・Our staff will interpret in English
・Interpretation in other languages must be arranged by the customer.
For other languages,a private rental fee will be required, which you will need to arrange yourself.
Private rental fee = (5-n) x 5,000 yen
